I choose to use both diathermy and cryotherapy to treat blemishes in my clinic. Both methods are fabulous in their own right, and I base the treatment menthod on the type of blemish and my client. Diathermy can feel like a bit of a hot sting while being treated, and cryotherapy can feel like a bit of a cold sting. Every client has a different experience in terms of how the treatment feels, some of my clients even fall asleep – any excuse to get 15 minutes of peace and quiet!

Healing is different for both, and all options of treatment, healing, and aftercare will be discussed at consultation. The aftercare of blemish removal is absolutely key to the success of your treatment and the results. If the blemish is cared for, there should be minimal evidence of where the blemish has been, however, if the blemish has been picked, scratched or exposed to the sun, etc., then pigmentation and scarring are highly likely.
