What Are Fibrous Papules and How Can Diathermy Help? Fibrous papules are small, firm, skin-coloured or slightly pink bumps that typically appear on the nose, though they can also develop elsewhere on the face. They are often mistaken for moles and vice versa. Fibrous papules are benign (non-cancerous) growths made up of fibrous tissue and blood vessels. They usually develop in early adulthood and tend to remain stable in size and appearance over time. The exact cause of these blemishes isn’t fully known, but they are considered a form of harmless skin growth. They’re not caused by sun exposure, infection, or poor skincare, and unlike acne or blackheads, they don’t
