Winter treatment of facial thread veins
Blemish Removal can be performed all year, however if it’s thread veins you are looking to treat then the winter months are perfect for this and set you up for a blemish free summer.
It’s one of those treatments that you most certainly do not want to expose for the first 72 hours after and equally becoming hot and sweaty isn’t ideal following facial thread vein removal. This is not to say that in the summer months it cannot be performed but winter is ideal for this kind of treatment and makes the aftercare much easier for you to follow.
Having facial thread veins that are noticeble can cause many clients I see to lack confidence and feel the need to cover them up, this is so unneccesary when you can have the benefit of treamtments such as diathermy to rid you of these pesky invaders!
Here is before and immediately after from a client who had one single broken capillarie just under her eye, but it bothered her and we got rid of it, it just goes to show there is nothing too little that you may want gone!
Simply put they are broken capillaries caused by a wide variety of things such as age, sun exposure, trauma, skin sensitivity and much more. Depending on the quantity of thread veins to be treated will determine how many sessions are needed although often one session may be enough. If you suffer with wide spread thread veins then we will look at the skin and dertermine how long in between each session is needed, this is generally every 4-6 weeks and this could be 3-6 sessions.
More often than not my clients get to a point where they feel happy and are ready to stop, sometimes maintenance treatments may be wanted as thread veins can reappear. Saying this we will consider the reason why you have thread veins as changes in skincare, lifestyle and other variants can help to keep them at bay.
The aftercare is crucial to achieve the best and long lasting results and this includes the wearing of SPF, and absolutely no sun exposure for the first 72 hours, hence why the winter months make this much more achievable.
