Thread Vein Removal in Colchester & Chelmsford Clinics. Facial thread veins are one of the most common blemishes I see, I think almost every person I know has broken capillaries of some description.
Capillaries are tiny red blood vessels that connect arterioles and venules. They consist of a layer of endothelium only one cell thick which allows the transportation of substances between blood and cells in the body by constantly dilating and restricting.
During the ageing process, they lose their elasticity and therefore can become permanently dilated. This then results in the characteristic appearance of little blood lines, usually a bright red colour although can become darker in colour as they get wider and deeper. If the vessels are too deep, which you can tell if they are of purple/blue appearance then treatment of this kind will not work.
There are many causes of facial red veins including such things as age, trauma, alcohol, diabetes, childbirth, allergies, rosacea, medication, menopause and quite honestly the list goes on. During our consultation I will be trying to ascertain the reason behind the thread veins to ensure as much longevity of the treatment as possible. Facial thread veins can return and many of my clients have regular maintenance with this blemish.
How Does it Work?
During treatment the objection is coagulation of the blood in the capillary. The blood circulating through the capillaries coagulates (turns to a semi solid state) when exposed to the heat created by the high frequency current.
During the healing process the vessel will be transformed and blood will circulate though other vessels. When the healing is complete, blood will form a new smaller canal through a vessel..
I always discuss realistic expectations with my clients as every client responds differently and the following factors can influence the success of treatment.
