Advanced Blemish Removal is now more common than ever, with the NHS offering treatment for blemishes deemed cosmetic. Advanced Blemish Removal, which I offer at my Colchester and Chelmsford clinics, can remove or reduce blemishes on the skin that generally cannot be helped by traditional facials or body treatments.

Blemishes on the skin can occur at any age, although we find that as we get older, more blemishes are likely to appear due to the natural ageing process. Although most blemishes are benign and pose no significant health risks, most of my clients would like them removed for self-confidence and comfort.

I choose to use both diathermy to treat blemishes in my clinic. In my opinion, this method far outweighs any others I have experienced or trialled. Diathermy can feel like a bit of a hot sting while being treated, although every client has a different experience in terms of how the treatment feels.

Healing is discussed in full when attending your consultation, and for each blemish, healing can vary, but generally it is fairly quick and easy to manage. Sayin this the aftercare is absolutely key to the success of your treatment and the results. If the blemish is cared for, there should be minimal evidence of where the blemish has been; however, if the blemish has been picked, scratched or exposed to the sun, etc., then pigmentation and scarring are highly likely.
